Methods of Payment:
We accept most major Credit Cards through PayPal. We also accept Personal Checks/cheques and International Money Orders.
International Money Orders: Please note that we cannot cash a regular US money order – it must say ‘International’ on it.
We can cash some personal cheques from the Continent and Australasia, but the list is limited. Please check with us before sending a personal cheque to make sure we can handle it. There is a $6.00 bank charge for all cheques written outside North America. A convenient Conversion Program is here. You can get PayPal information here. It costs nothing to join or to pay with PayPal. We pay all the charges.
All checks/cheques or International Money Orders should be made payable to Joy Parker. Please do not make anything payable to Swallowhill.
Orders paid with PayPal will be shipped within 7-10 days. Handcrafted items may require additional time, but we will notify you via email if there may be a delay. (Don't forget to check to make sure that you can receive email messages from us. Please add our email address joy@swallowhill-miniatures.com and joy@swallowhilldolls.com to your address book, or add as an allowed sender to your spam filter program.)
If paying with a personal check or money order, your goods will be shipped when the payment arrives here if you are an 'old' customer.... or when the check clears.
We have a convenient Lay Away Plan for larger orders. Please check with Joy for terms. Of course we do not charge interest.

Please check with us if you are ordering heavy items (molds). In all cases we will endeavour to charge you the actual postage (plus fuel surcharge by Canada Post!!!!).

The program will charge shipping by SEA MAIL. If you wish to have your parcel sent by AIR MAIL, please send the difference in cost to us by PayPal. Send to joy@swallowhilldolls.com.
Unfortunately the Canadian Post Office has lately decided to almost double the cost of shipping a parcel overseas. We are sorry about this, but there is nothing we can do.
Please note that any duty, brokerage fees or additional costs of receiving goods are the responsibility of the customer. We are careful with our descriptions so that no duty will be charged, but we cannot guarantee this.
Canadian shipping charges
The chart below shows the rates to Nova Scotia and Alberta (where we do most of our shipping within Canada). If you are closer to Ontario, or in Ontario, the cost will be a little bit less. These rates are by regular post. Please contact us if you want to know exactly what the shipping will be and we will weigh and measure your parcel and let you know.
If the shipping is considerably less than the amount shown, we will refund the excess.

Returns Policy
Please contact us before you decide to send anything back! If there is damage to the shipment or you are not satisfied, please let us know by email. We will contact you as quickly as we can. There are easier ways to fix a problem than by sending the parcel back to us.
We refund the cost of the goods, less the shipping costs.
