Thank you for looking at our Dressed Dolls. I'm afraid there aren't many for sale at the moment, but that will change when I have time to do some more dressing. I do everything myself, from the pouring to the cleaning and firing and painting and shipping, so it get hairy at times *g*.
All the dolls are dressed with cottons and silks, and most of the work is done by hand sewing. I do some work on the sewing machine, but mostly it is done by hand. I sit in the evening in my comfy chair and sew.
I admit that I use glue on the smaller scale dolls. Well, they are tiny and it is easier to glue the tiny dolls' costumes than it is to sew them. Of course, any gathering is done by hand sewing.
The porcelain for the dolls is made here at Swallowhill and painted by me (Joy).
We have decided to do a 'Lay Away' plan, for those who do not wish to put out the total price all at one time. This generally means that there is a $25.00 deposit, and then payments of $25.00 per month. The doll is shipped to you when the total amount is paid. We can do a Lay Away on a larger kit order too, if you wish. Please check with us. I know that I prefer to pay a smaller amount each month, rather than strain the budget *g*.
I hope you find a doll that will fit into your house or mini scene. If you would like me to dress a doll in a particular colour, please let me know. I can't promise to be quick, but I can promise to work hard at getting her/him just the way you want.
