Miniature Porcelain Dolls, Molds & Dishware
Joy Parker and John Parker are a mother and son team, of Swallowhill Dolls and Molds. They handcraft 1/12th scale dollhouse doll kits, exquisitely dressed miniature dolls in 1/12th and 1/24th scale, miniature tea pots and cookie jars, and porcelain blanks for you to paint and finish yourself. Miniature molds and original miniature knitting patterns, along with small knitting needles and yarn are also featured. Joy has a line of original sewing patterns. There are usually 'Specials' being offered, so be sure to check there. They change regularly.
Miniature Knitting Patterns & Doll Clothing Patterns
Joy designs original knitting patterns for miniature dolls and sells small knitting needles and yarn. She also has a line of original sewing patterns and is working on a new series of 'single' patterns for 1/12th Scale Dolls. She expects to be able to offer patterns for 1/24th Scale Dolls in the near future - as soon as John has his new 1/24th scale molds ready for sale.
Molds for Making Miniatures.
John offers plaster molds for making porcelain or low fired miniatures. You can also use these molds with polymer clay! They include 1/12th scale original dolls sculpted by John, and a number of accessory molds - containers, plates, etc. John also offers the individual already-fired pieces - click on 'Tea Pots and Cookie Jars' to see what is available. .
Wigs, How-To Booklets
It all started more than 32 years ago with dolls, but has expanded to include a lot of other things – booklets on making wigs and making hats, kits for making wigs, to name a few. They also sell the viscose to make your own wigs.
Free Miniature Projects
Be sure to look at the Projects pages for free ideas. Some projects include how to make a silk ribbon rose and how to make and use a bowmaker. They've added illustrated instructions for assembling a high neck doll on a felt body, plus quite a few other things including making stockings and silk slippers!.
If there is some project you would like to see added, please email Joy!
